Make buttermilk by mixing milk and lemon juice. This is an optional step if you don't have ready-made buttermilk.

Mix mashed bananas, melted butter, buttermilk, vanilla extract and jaggery powder in a bowl.

Sift whole wheat flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt over the wet ingredients mixture.

Gently fold all the ingredients together and add semi-sweet chocolate chips and fold again.

Pour mixture into a greased and dusted loaf pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 350F (180C) for around 55-60 minutes till done.
