Eggless Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

These Eggless Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins are one of the best healthy and moist muffins you would've ever tasted. Made with whole wheat flour and jaggery powder, these are completely refined flour free muffins with no added refined sugar. Enjoy the healthy banana muffins!

  • 1 1/2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1/2 cup Jaggery Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 3 Bananas medium, over-ripe, mashed
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt
  • 1/3 cup Butter unsalted, melted
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 1/2 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips


  • To the mashed bananas in a bowl, add melted butter and mix it thoroughly. Add jaggery powder and mix again. Add vanilla essence and yogurt and mix once again. Whisk till all the wet ingredients are completely blended.
  • Sift whole wheat flour, baking soda, salt and ground cinnamon into the wet mixture. Using a spatula, mix everything together (do not over-mix).
  • Add semi-sweet chocolate chips to the mixture and gently fold into the muffin batter.
  • Grease and dust the muffin pan. Preheat oven to 350°F (or 180°C). Pour batter into muffin cups. Bake the muffins in preheated oven for 25 minutes or till done.
  • The Eggless Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins are ready to be served warm, or these can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a week!



  • Jaggery Powder – If Jaggery Powder is not available, you can replace it with equal amount of Organic Coconut Sugar. These are the healthier sugar alternatives.
  • Do not over-mix the batter after adding dry ingredients.
