Indian Dry Fruits & Seeds Names
Dry fruits are a form of fresh fruits from which water has been removed. As a result of dehydration, these dry fruits can be preserved and stored for a longer time.
It is really important to include dry fruits, nuts and seeds daily in our diet for good health. These are a powerhouse of nutrients like potassium, magnesium, dietary fiber, calcium, iron and vitamins.
Dry fruits can be eaten as a snack or they can be added to a lot of dishes, especially desserts. I love using dry fruits in my recipes. For instance, recipe of these whole wheat and mixed nut muffins is my favorite festive recipe. These healthy muffins are loaded with dry fruits and nuts, including almonds, cashews, pistachios and dried cranberries.
Also, this famous Indian dessert of gajar halwa (Indian carrot pudding) is loaded with mixed nuts like almonds, cashews and raisins.
