Chocolate Banana Muffins is such a classic recipe when it comes to basic muffin recipe ideas. And I had baked them quite often at one point of my baking regime. But lately, since the cookie fever started, cakes and muffins had come to a complete standstill. So, this time I finally broke the monotony and baked these yummy and healthy ragi whole wheat chocolate banana muffins in my oven. But if you do want to check out the famous cookie recipes on my blog, I would definitely recommend the Whole Wheat Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies and also these Funfetti Whole Wheat Cookies.

Wow, it is hard to describe the aroma that your house gets filled with, when baking anything chocolatey. Well, knock knock. This time it’s not only super delicious, but super duper healthy as well. But how?

How are Ragi Whole Wheat Chocolate Banana Muffins healthy?

For starters, remove the word refined from the flour and sugar here. In place of all purpose flour, I have used whole wheat flour here, along with the super nutritious Ragi Flour. For the sweetness, in place of refined flour, I have used Jaggery Powder, which is healthier compared to many of the processed sugars available in the market. I have adapted this recipe from one of Banana Chocolate Muffins recipe I found while browsing, though there are lot of changes that I have done as per the ingredients I wanted to use. You can find the original recipe link here.

Ragi Nutrition Benefits – Healthy Ragi Chocolate Banana Muffins

Baking using finger-millet flour was on my list long back, but now I have planned to incorporate Ragi into many dishes that I am going to post on my blog. Why not? Ragi is such a nutritious option when it comes to including healthy cereals in your diet. It not only keeps you full for longer periods of time, but it is also a powerhouse of calcium, iron and dietary fibre. So, super healthy option for kids, diabetics, someone who is anemic, and well, it is a great option to include in the diet for almost everyone.
