Strawberry Banana & Almond Overnight Oats is hands down my favorite overnight oats recipe, the flavor combination is simply too good!
I would say, just add toppings of your choice and you are good to go for a healthy, clean eating meal-prep breakfast or brunch recipe, perfect for busy mornings!
You can top it with fresh chopped strawberries, sliced banana, berries and nuts of your choice!
Ingredients & Substitutes
- Rolled Oats – I have used old fashioned rolled oats by Quaker Oats. I would recommend to use certified gluten free oats if looking for a gluten free option.
- Milk – I have used whole milk in this recipe, but you can use any milk of your choice, like oat milk, almond milk etc.
- Yogurt – Definitely a must have for that creamy texture, but you can replace it with milk if you don’t like it. I am using whole milk yogurt here, but you can use greek yogurt or any flavored yogurt of your choice as well.
- Honey – You can skip it if you don’t want to add any sweetener, or you can substitute the honey in the recipe with maple syrup.
- Chopped Banana – Imparts the creamy texture and helps you keep fuller for longer. I would recommend to not skip this!
- Chopped Strawberries – Use fresh or frozen, as per availability.
- Ground Cinnamon – Imparts a sweet and spicy flavor to the recipe.
- Chia seeds – These are a very important ingredient of the recipe. Chia seeds impart a creamy texture, while adding a lot of nutritious value to the recipe.
- Vanilla Extract – Adds freshness and great flavor to the overnight oats.
- Almond Butter – Almond Butter adds a unique kick of flavor to the recipe, which goes really well with the taste of bananas and strawberries. I would recommend to not skip it at all!

Notes
- The additional toppings that go well with strawberry banana almond overnight oats include:
- Fruits, like chopped apple, mango, blueberries etc.
- Nuts, for example hazelnuts or brazil nuts
- Seeds, flaxseed powder, dried cranberries, raisins etc.
- A 12 ounce (12 oz) wide mouthed glass jar works great for one serving of overnight oats, especially if you want to eat right out of jar in the morning. It is enough to hold the overnight oats, and also has space for some additional toppings.
