Ingredients & Substitutes
- Banana – One of the main ingredients of the recipe, which imparts amazing taste, nutrition and creamy texture to the overnight oats. Also helps you keep full for longer!
- Blueberries – Use fresh or frozen, as per availability.
- Rolled Oats – I have used old fashioned rolled oats by Quaker Oats. Also, I would recommend to use certified gluten free oats, if you are looking for a gluten free option.
- Milk – I have used whole milk in this recipe, but you can also use coconut, almond or oat milk, as per choice.
- Yogurt – Love this for the creamy texture, but you can replace it with milk if you don’t like it. I am using whole milk yogurt here, but feel free to use Greek yogurt as well.
- Honey – Totally optional, or you can substitute the honey in the recipe with maple syrup.
- Ground Cinnamon – Imparts a subtle sweet and spicy flavor to the recipe.
- Chia seeds – Another non-negotiable are the chia seeds in this recipe. These give nutrition and a creamy texture to the overnight oats.
- Vanilla Extract – Adds a great flavor to the recipe.
