Presenting here is a collection of healthy Oatmeal Desserts that are completely refined flour free and refined sugar free as well. These desserts are not only filling, but super nutritious as well. So, let’s get going to the easy and delicious oatmeal dessert recipes roundup!

The benefits of oats are numerous. Oats are rich in antioxidants, so say hello to beautiful skin! Also, oats help in managing blood sugar levels, lower the cholesterol, and are rich in vitamins and minerals. Apart from this, oats are filling and thus, can help in managing weight.

I have listed few advantages of incorporating oats in your diet, among many other health benefits. All these desserts (breakfast waffles and cookies) are kid-friendly, so that’s an added bonus. Another best part, well, these are healthy oatmeal desserts, which are not overnight oats!

Can you make Oatmeal at home?

I generally have a box of Quaker Oats (Old fashioned) in my pantry, since we love having overnight oats many a times for breakfast. So, I always make Oatmeal out of the regular Quaker oats. Just pulse the Oats in food processor a few times. Keep checking the consistency of the flour that you may like. And there you have your own Oatmeal at home!

Oatmeal Cookies – Tips

Baking with oatmeal is not that easy, since it is a gluten free flour. Gluten is the protein which is present in some flours like all-purpose, whole wheat etc, which helps hold the food together. Gluten helps in binding the cookies, just like a glue.

Baking cookies with oatmeal can be quite tricky and you may have to increase the amount of moisture or leavening agent, since replacing oats flour completely may result in dried out, crumbly cookies. As you get comfortable baking with oats flour, you can try to increase the amount of oatmeal in each of the bakes.
